A typical day at Stanwick Primary will involve Maths, English and Curriculum learning. We will provde your child with opportunities to develop a range of different skills throughout each school day. Each day will begin with the children entering the school at 8.40am where they will be fully immersed in learning opportunuities from the beginning of each day.
An example of the school day would be;
8.40am Doors open for children to enter, registration closes at 8.50am. Children arriving after this time will need to enter school via the school office reception.
8.50am - 10.45am - Lesson one with Playtime at 10.45am -11.00am
11.00am-12.00pm - Lesson 2 with Lunchtime at 12.00pm -1.00pm
12.00-1.00pm Lunchtime for all children
Lesson 3 with playtime at 2.00pm-2.15pm
2.15pm-3.20pm - Lesson 4
3.20pm-3.30pm -Tidy up and home time
Assemblies
Assemblies take place regularly.
Monday assemblies are either a diversity assembly led by a member of staff in school, or a values assembly that is led by a visitor from Stanwick Church. Thursday assemblies are focused on music.
An Awards assembly takes place each Friday afternoon. Awards for effort and achievement are presented by Mrs Neild, our Principal and our Stars of the Week are given places of honour at the front of the hall.
Each class is also given the opportunity to present a class assembly to parents during the year.
